My 15-month old son has recently had many mid-night waking . We have tried many methods of putting him back to sleep in his own bed but ultimate this is resulting in him joining us in our bed and lots of crappy sleep for us. Hi. I've struggled with this from time to time. I was taking 5HTP for a while in undergrad and found it to be really effective. Its just a vitamin supplement. Another supplement that may work is St. John's Wort but let me warn you now it makes some contraceptives less effective when using in combination. I know the last thing you want to do when you are down is to work out. There is a lot of evidence out there that tells us that exercise can decrease your symtoms. Just moving around doing something that you enjoy. Get a skip it or hula hoop that brings you back to a much simpler time and use it during study breaks to recharge. Movement will make you feel much better. You can also practice progressive muscle relaxation in times of high stress which is very effective for managing anxiety and results in better academic performance. Other than that know that if severe depression has be a battle for a long time you need to speak to a doctor and make that decision for yourself. Hormonal imbalances left untreated can cause structural changes to your brain that make treating depression much more difficult down the road. It is very likely that your mom is not aware of this but do the research and/or ask your doctor to explain this further. Also antidepressants will take a few weeks to work so they are not a quick fix. You cannot drink alcohol if you are using them as it intensifies the effects and that may be hard to do in college. Reaching out to friends can also be very helpful in times like these. Best wishes.

It is hard to say what would 'best' suit a cyclist. It really depends on the person. All of these methods have a purpose. For me personally, long interval training is what works best for immediate results, yet in a training week i do a mixture of these. variety in how you train is what continues to make the sport fun and interesting. When i train i most often do intervals and continuous. I'm not a huge fan of fartlek but i will do that occasionally. It is honestly all about the specific rider and what helps them be their best.

Thin girls being attractive?

I've been hearing from several women and men that women who are thin can't be sexy or attractive. I myself have thought this up to a point because I am very thin. I'm 5'4 and only 90 pounds. I am currently at 5/8 and I have silicone plugs in. I wonder how much weight to loose. I'm 5'5, my wrist is nearly 7 inches, I have really wide shoulders and despite having really impressive hip width, I feel the bone under a surprisingly small fat layer. There is a good chance you are farther along than they think you are. I was the same way. I was getting my period for the whole first trimester so I wasnt sure when I conceived. When my daughter was born they thought she was 36 weeks and so they kept stopping my labor and sending me home from the hospital. No matter how many times they tried to stop my labor it kept coming back worse than before. I delivered 4 weeks early (according to them) but when my little girl was born all of the nurses thought she was 38 weeks not 36, so the doctors were off by 2 weeks. If you think you are farther along than the doctors you are probably right. Dont worry, everything will be fine I am sure. Just keep timing your contractions, and when they are consistently 5 minutes apart you are for sure in labor. Good Luck!

Safe alternative to Tylenol for teething?

My daughter is 4 month old, and the past few days she has been waking in the night due to teething pain. Sometimes she is really crabby because of it as well, which I can't say I blame her, probably hurts! I have been giving her Tylenol the past 2 days because of a fever and pain from immunizations and she seems to feel much better after. I just don't want to constantly give her Tylenol due to the whole liver failure thing. Hi, so I have tried asking this on 3 other forums (WebMD, a pregnancy one, and ehealth) and NO ONE will even answer. I don't have any one to talk to because I just moved 600miles away from home....I am possibly just worrying too much and my boyfriend has gotten this into my head of being pregnant. I am 20, and living with my boyfriend. I have been on Gianvi (Yaz generic) for 2 months now. We are sexually active, and don't use a back up method of birth control. I know, not the smartest, but we also wouldn't mind having a baby if it happens. For 2 weeks now I am nauseated every time I try to eat, so I'm ALWAYS hungry but at the same time I eat a few bites and feel like I stuffed myself. Every night starting around 8pm it gets worse and as the later it gets, especially worse when I try to go to sleep, but have not actually thrown up. Sorry for this bit of info, but I have had to pee a lot, been a little constipated and very gassy (sorry!) We eat the same as we always have. I cook and we never eat fast food. Starting yesterday it is tender and hurts around my nipples, and my veins are more pronounced. I am also pretty moody. I don't know my ovulation days because my pills messed me up and I had a 6 day period, 2 days off, and another 4 day period. I am expecting the next within a week or so, so I can't really test yet. I didn't have any of these issues in my first month of using the pill, so why would it just now set in? My boyfriend isn't mad if I am....he is actually very excited and supportive. The main reason I am even on the pill is because my PMDD causes horrible cramps and irregular cycle, so this is to help with those things. My mom started getting sick the day after she conceived me, so early signs wouldn't be unusual.

Just a quick question regarding carp bait.?

Hi, I live near Lake Michigan and as a lot of you probably already know the carp in there are large and plentiful and given a certain amount of patience they are willing biters. I just have one problem. I've been using a commercial bait called "Uncle Josh Carp Bait" There's no doubt it's a good bait because it's bright colored, releases scent into the water nicely and it's easy to form into a dough-ball but the particular container of bait I bought was pretty soft and it's very hard to get it to stay on the hook. On the back of the tub it says that if the bait is too soft to mix it with fine dirt. I might try that as a last resort but in the mean time I'm searching for alternate methods. Does anybody know how to make an affective homemade carp bait that's nice and firm? You know, soft enough to be appealing to the fish but firm enough that it will stay on the hook with ease and withstand intense casting? Not that this is too huge a problem but I'm also looking for a bait that's appealing to carp but also something that those annoying nibbling sunfish will ignore and not destroy. Is there also a way that I could maybe keep the bait I already have on the hook easier? Maybe I should use regular bread dough, it seems pretty strong, would it work? Are carp attracted to large night crawlers? I know they work for catfish and they are almost guaranteed to stay on the hook but the sunfish and gobies would probably tear them up before the carp ever got to them. Personally I would chose the first option if I had to chose out of those options, and they will also keep your options for A-Level quite good too. It is definitely worth taking a language as some unis are now saying that they won't accept people without a language GCSE, and it looks good anyway. I took both German and French for GCSE, as well as doing Polish, and found Geography to be a very enjoyable course. I also know people who did both Geography and History, and although it is a lot of work they did not find it to be too much. It seems like drama is a choice that you included in most of the options you gave, so I would do that, as humanities and languages are generally better than creative subjects. It is your choice, however, and if you feel that you could handle doing 2 humanities and 2 languages then definitely go for it, as it will look good. If not, chose the subjects that you enjoy most, and will get most out of, you could speak to your teachers to find out more detail about each of the courses. I'm sorry if I've confused you more.

Of course it's fun to waste your time there but you'll also waste money. If you are a low income family, you can get Federal Pell grant( about 5,500$ a year) for your education. Go to community college and use this pell grant. this will make it free. even if you can't get pell grant, community colleges are very cheap to pay for. everyone can go there no matter what your grade is. Hardgainer needs help!?

Ok so I have been training for about 6 years now. While the first two were filled with impressive gains, the years following were filled with frustration as I managed to pack on maybe one or two more pounds of muscle PER YEAR. I have tried many routines, as well as eating up to 7 meals a day consisting mainly of grain carbs and lean chicken. I am 5'10 and weigh about 160-165 and am probably around 13% body fat. The problem is, no matter how much or how often i eat and how intensely I train, I am not seeing results like I should. Recently I read about "abbreviated routines" for hardgainers, consisting of maybe only 3 compound exercises per workout performed only twice per week. My initial impression is that this seems shockingly low and that I am capable of much more than this. It is likely that I have been overtraining, but cutting down to that extent seems daunting. So my question is, is such a routine right for my body type and does anyone have experience with abbreviated routines? I will supplement such a routine with around 4,000 calories per day.

Earlier this year I noticed I had no muscles in my arms. I did pushups, did exercises using very small weights, and went on a swing that required a lot of grip every day. In 3 weeks, my arm muscles were rock hard when flexing, and bulgy. I'm a girl, age 15. Is this normal? Like, that fast to gain muscle? I went from NONE to impressive.
